NO KINGS! National Day of Mobilization Hyannis

June 14 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Saturday June 14, 4-5:30-1PM Location: Hyannis Airport Rotary

Bring: signs, flag cowbells, drums, and a loud voice for chants! Anyone can feel free to bring instruments, sing, start a chant, this is a movement by the people!
Donald Trump thinks his rule is absolute, but in America, we don’t do “kings.” Since the inauguration, the Trump administration and its enablers have operated as though they have a mandate—but they don’t, and never did. They are going to extremes to empower Trump and enrich themselves, while cutting jobs and services for the rest of us. Now, they’re turning Flag Day into a celebration of Trump.
💰 He’s using OUR tax dollars to pay for HIS party: Donald Trump’s birthday celebration is expected to cost millions of our tax dollars, all while Republicans claim there’s no money for Social Security, SNAP, or Medicaid.
👑 We are united against kings: Trump has already indicated that he’s aiming for at least a third term, and now he’s planning a self-aggrandizing military parade in D.C But the American people don’t put up with kings. Together, we will mobilize in huge numbers to reject this corruption and abuse of power—it’s in our DNA as a country.
✋ They’ve gone too far: This is bigger than political disagreement. They’ve defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services—all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their billionaire allies. Enough is enough. For anyone who thinks he’s gone too far, this movement is for you.
We’re standing together against the abuses of power, cruelty, and corruption. On June 14, we gather to remind Trump and his enablers: America has No King!
Whether you’re outraged by attacks on civil rights, skyrocketing costs, abductions and disappearances, the gutting of essential services, or the assault on free speech—this moment is for you. Whether you’ve been in the fight for years or you’re just fed up and ready to take action—this moment is for you.
🛑 We need to build a massive, visible, national rejection of this crisis. On June 14, we will see events across the country, in major cities and small towns in every state. Our goal is to show that the people—the majority—are taking action to stop the corruption and power grab.
💪 The power is in your hands. Join us. If there’s a mobilization in your area, sign up to attend. If not, use this toolkit to host your own in your area.

Parking: Please carpool. Free parking: You can park in nearby public lots, please do not park in spots meant for customers, close to stores.
If you need to drop someone off before parking further away, please use the staples parking lot, not the side of a road. Paid parking: the airport, with the total cost $12 or less. (https://flyhya.com/parking-transportation/parking/) Public Transit: There is also the cape cod RTA. There are many lines that can connect you to Hyannis. From there, you get on the “Barnstable Villager” line and can get off at the mall or the landing at hyannis, or you can simply tap to get off when the bus approaches the rotary, they will stop if you tap the yellow line. SAFETY: If it’s a smaller crowd, we can all park at Staples and stand on the grassy part near Nantucket Sound. If it’s a larger crowd, can spread out at four edges of the rotary (Wendy’s, church, bank, nantucket sound, NOT the airport side), so just stand near where you parked to avoid crossing roads unnecessarily. The rotary is a busy area and most parts do NOT have a crosswalk. If you park at the mall overflow, or The Landing at Hyannis, there is a crosswalk down there by the lights if you want to get to a specific grass area, the mall side will bring you to the church, bank or Nantucket sound, the landing at Hyannis side will bring you to Wendy’s or the airport. Remember, the drivers on the rotary are extremely distracted, so it’s up to you to be mindful, cautious, and safe at all times.

Make sure to stay on the grass, a few feet away from the curb. Stay in the designated area. We are allowed to be on public/town land. We can walk the easements in front of the stores to reach the locations. Don’t go in the road and don’t go in the middle of the rotary. Police can shut us down if this happens. Attendees please help remind others to not go in or too near the road. Be mindful not to block cars visibility for entering the rotary. Notice where the “exit” sign is for your area. The police will protect our right to protest, but if there are safety concerns, the police can and will shut us down. It is the responsibility of all attendees to follow all safety guidelines.

If there are counter protesters, DO NOT ENGAGE AT ALL. If attendees engage, the police can shut us down. We don’t want this to happen!! Notify a safety warden (in a neon vest) in your area of any disturbance immediately before it can escalate. Everyone must act responsibly and obey instructions from organizers and police. Attendees: Do not engage. Step away. Alert a safety warden. Help safety wardens remind others of these guidelines. Your calm response is your power.

If you feel you need to start videoing for any reason, you are encouraged to do so. It will be good record keeping. Please continue to ignore the agitator(s) and find a safety warden, in a neon vest. We don’t expect any violence. We expect this to be a peaceful, safe, event to show our care, community, and courage.

Before you leave: Make sure to leave the space better than when you arrived. If anything needs to be cleaned up (signs, trash etc.) please lend a hand. Also, if you’re not already part of an “Indivisible” group, make sure to get a “palm card” before you leave, with a QR card of how to join. There will be donation buckets if you would like to leave a few dollars to support the “Indivisible” groups on Cape Cod.
